Almost There
With this being our second to last week I wanted to make lots of progress on my final project. So far I'd say I mostly accomplished that goal, but I'm still about 1500 words shy of the word limit so I have to keep pushing forward. One thing that's been on my mind is how if we don't have all of the requirements we won't pass the class. I believe I have all of them, but the thought of not passing this class is really scary to me and I'm sure it is to others as well. Currently I have a lot of editing to do, but at this rate I will definitely have this project completed on time I just need to focus. I think the hardest part for me though is finding where to add the remaining words that I am required to have, but I'm sure I'll figure it out. Like last week I'm going to attach my website so if anyone wants to look at it feel free to I'd also love feedback if you want to give any.
Hey Nora! not reaching the number of required words can be scary, it was one of my biggest concerns as well. As an advice I can tell you that you shouldn't focus that much on the number. What I mean is that that can be frustrating, instead focus on going in depth on any idea you are writing about. This way the final product will be better and trust me on this one, the word count will be more than enough. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteHi Nora :) I don't know if this will make you feel better, but I am at the same point as you. I am about 1500 words short. This is how I approached the issue. I divided it up into three groups that way it is about 500 words per writing topic. I then did research for the three topics I chose and did a nice outline for each one. We still have some time so hang in there. Best of luck to you girl.

Our topics are right up the same ally with analyzing music, but I chose themes to focus on where you went more into genres. It was interesting to see a different approach to a similar research topic. I wouldn't worry too much about not passing, I'm sure it will all work out the website and content is solid. I hope it all the finishing touches go over well, have a nice day.

Based off of the work you already have posted, I know that you will be able to quickly resolve the issue of not having the required 6,000 words. I absolutely agree that it can be very scare thinking about having to fulfill every single requirement, but in the end it will turn out alright!

Hey Nora! I've still got about 1500 words left to go for my project too, and I agree that not passing the class because of accidentally missing one of the requirements is a really scary thought. Looking at your website though, I've think you've got it all covered! I love how everything is formatted, especially having a separate page for your resources! If you're still looking for ways to add more words, maybe you could add another song from one of the artists you already have.

I think the topic you chose was pretty unique and the wide variety of artists and genres you explored was interesting to read about. You posted that you were concerned about the word count, but from what I've seen, it looks like you took care of that problem. Overall, well done!
ReplyDeleteWhat's up Nora, your website is really neat. The one thing that stood out to me was how organized and neat your resources section is. Seeing that gave me some ideas on how I was going to organize my cited page because I was struggling a while. Your "This I believe essay" was something I could relate to because you said when you were younger you dreaded going to art class and I can say I was the same way. Whenever we took field trips to the museum's I was just happy to be away from school. Once I turned 14 I started seeing art differently and it was with music too. I started listening to Jay Z, Misterwives, Eminem, and so much more. Your website all around is impressive, six artists? Wow, I could never. I enjoyed reading about Billie Eilish and Thomas Rhett because I never imagined myself either listening to them or even researching them.

I think the topic you chose to discuss was really interesting and I love that you used some of the biggest artists right now to support the theme of your project.
