I Can't Believe It's Over
First off wow, I can't believe that this is the last blogpost I'll be writing as I finish wrapping up this semester. In the beginning I was scared of having an asynchronous styled class, but as the semester went on I started to see many positive aspects that it provided. This styled allowed us to have more freedom for when we wanted to complete our work and for me at least game me a sense of responsibility.
My weakest piece of work I would say is my blogpost nonfiction is not the enemy. I feel this way due to the fact that I chose articles that didn't really stand out to me or my interests. If I had the opportunity to improve this piece of writing I would most likely start over with different articles that really captivate my interests. Now I'd say my strongest piece of writing was my blogpost who has the power. I feel this way because I think I did a good job at connecting the enlightenment artwork to modern day culture and really grasped the concept of the assignment. Now both of these pieces will help me in my future endeavor's since I know now what to look for before starting an assignment and my critical analysis skills have been enhanced during the duration of this course. Lastly I'd like to touch on the final project, in the beginning it was quite overwhelming but as time went on the easier it got. I really liked that we got to chose what topic we wanted to talk about and how much freedom we had when it came to how we approached it. The critical analyses we did throughout the semester really helped me when it came to created my own on my website and I'd say this course's material really prepared me for the completion of the project.
Overall this course as a whole has enhanced how I look at art. I started of not really caring about what a painting meant, but this course has shown me its all up to our own interpretation. This course has provided me with plenty of new skills I can use along with enhancing my previous skills that I had. I will say though that I can already see an improvement in my writing skills that I have lacked in the beginning of this semester. In order to keep these skills up to date I may start a self journal due to the fact that I really enjoyed making these blogposts.
Lastly I'd like to thank Professor Kensington for helping me improve my writing over the course of the semester by providing feedback to me and showing me a new style of the English course. I started of not so sure of how this course was going to work, but I ended up really enjoying this style of class and using different websites.

Hey Nora, I just looked at your site and I think it came out nice. I like the variety you gave covered for the project. I like when you talked about the artist, you gave quick blurbs on each of the artist and what genre they fall into. Then you lead into the analysis of the song chose. I hope the rest of your finals go good.
ReplyDeleteHi Nora, I love your website! It turned out great. I am very impressed by everyone's websites thus far they are so amazing and I love exploring them. I also read your blog here and I completely agree I feel the same way about learning a lot this semester and feeling like I did not care as much in the beginning. Good luck with the rest of your exams!
ReplyDeleteHey Nora, I really enjoy the way your website comes together. I think it's easy to access, well laid out, and that everything is well written. I think that our attention to small details really shows how much effort you put in, such as how you have drop downs for the lyrics of each video, and the videos embedded in the site. Great work!
ReplyDeleteThe most interesting thing about this project for me was the approach it has to the artistic aspect of music, of how it influences our thoughts, our feelings and therefore our actions.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree with the author’s opinion on music, because I can relate with their story and with how music influenced their lives. The article has certainly confirmed my perspective on music and I enjoyed reading it a lot.
Hey Nora,
ReplyDeleteAfter scrolling through your site I thought you did a great job. I really liked how you went over every genre and elaborated on them as well. I also enjoyed your piece surrounded Post Malone and the meaning behind "stay". Regarding your course reflection I couldn't agree with you more about it being hard to write about subjects that don't stand out and interest you. Halfway through my website i completely changed my topic and began going in a different direction and it turned out great. But great job on your site and good luck in other classes.
